For four decades, Dr. Katalin Karik\u00f3 devoted herself to studying mRNA\u2014a fragile, complex molecule that many abandoned as impossible to work with.<\/p>\n

Her journey was anything but easy: filled with failed experiments, scepticism, and endless setbacks.<\/p>\n

Together, they discovered how to modify mRNA to avoid triggering harmful immune responses, laying the foundation for the revolutionary mRNA vaccines that helped fight COVID-19.<\/p>\n
